Bismarck Emergency Food Pantry is a non-profit organization that provides food assistance to individuals and families in need.

Anyone who is struggling with food insecurity is eligible to receive assistance ONCE every FOUR weeks. Photo ID is required. No appointment necessary, just come during hours of operation.  Delivery service is not available. 

Loss of work, illness in the family, unforeseen expenses, loss of home and possessions due to fire, homelessness, escaping abuse, getting established after moving to the area - these are some of the various situations that bring clients to our door. About 95% of our clients are from the Bismarck/Mandan area and about 5% are from nearby communities. 

We will check your ID, confirm your contact information, update your household information, and confirm it has been 4 weeks since your last visit.  We will offer you options of extra items we have available.  While you sit in our waiting area, we will pack bags and boxes of food for you, based upon the size of your household and food we have available. When your food order is ready, we will call your name and/or number, then you can collect your order and go on your way.

Donations are accepted during hours of operation.  Mondays & Tuesdays 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. If those times absolutely do not work for you, or if you have a sizable donation, please contact us to schedule an appointment.
